It is a economy marker…. Which shows ppl are at the lowest of low where they don’t have anything to lose anymore.

Multiple incidents all over the country just shows how ppl don’t have any hope and they are at the bottom and are at the point where nothing more is left to lose.

So, you blame Obama?

So, you blame Obama?

Actually this whole idea proffered by the social-science experts seems to be another crock, crime rates have not gone up since the Obama economy unfolded.

Crime rates were much higher decades ago.... back when we had "real" gun control... the kinds you people see has a partial answer.

People have always done these types of senseless crimes, it just seems the frequency is picking up steam.... but maybe it isn't, anyone seen stats on these type of crimes?

I just merely posted a fact that economy is in bad shape.

Unlike what was said earlier, this is not a "strange, new fad" ... it's been happening forever. Sometimes it happens with more frequency, but some guy shooting up the place is not new. So to blame it on the economy is probably not accurate.

Why do people feel the need to make tragedies like this political? It happened in Aurora. It happened in Wisconsin. Both threads discussing them eventually mentioned Obama. Why?

because they're stupid and just blindly want to blame Obama for everything? People are blaming Obama for private company layoffs ... not the fact that the company has been failing for a few years now.

It's summer time. It's very hot in the south. This is normal for this time of year, we call it killing season. People are ready to go off at the drop of a hat. That's why we are usually polite down here and say excuse me when we walk by someone who isn't even close to us. It's best to be on the safe side.

The frequency of such things go up when ppl are not satisfied with their life, when they feel they are being over stepped, when they have tried every avenue and come to brick wall.

Latest case guy was being evicted…. When would someone take to shooting when there is nothing left. When one is at the bottom of bottom, they know there are no hope is when one takes to such severe action.

Economy overall has been doing good… business have been failing to some extent yes leaders of country are responsible.

There are lot of companies that have the cash but not sure of what the political situation is going to be they don’t want to invest money.

There are lot of ppl who have tried and tried to look for job and just given up.

If the country was doing great economically won’t Obama take credit for it? So when its failing should he not taking blame for it?

In last 4 years don’t you think the racial divide has been becoming wider and wider?

I don't believe Obama should take the blame for the frequency of mass shootings in the United States, no. That's ridiculous.

Why is it in these situations that the onlookers are always trying to place the blame on someone else's shoulders? The shoulders of anyone but the actual shooter, anyway...

roe vs wade is your answer. call it "the graying of America", if you like. crime rates are down because there are fewer men 17-35, and even fewer that are not already in jail.

Its partially how its reported. For instance, this situation isn't really out of the norm compared to day to day crime in places like Chicago, Detroit, Oakland etc. This has media attention for two reasons - near a university campus and an officer killed.

They have been increasing though - 80s reported 18, 90s reported 54, 2000s reported 87.

Obama is not to be blamed for shooting or any particular individual... but for economy... YES.

Dividing the country more into racial divide .. YES.

I'm not seeing either of these. We are clearly in a Japanese style economy and it doesn't matter who's President this situation will continue for the rest of the decade.

On the race issue, the only politically incorrect thing I that I see him repeat is getting personal twice on local issues related to an african american.

Well, when you say "this is happening because of the economy and the economy is Obama's fault" ... then you're indirectly saying these shootings are on his shoulders.

How about some personal accountability for actions here? Blame the guy who shot innocent people for starters.

What does this have to do with race?

If Romney is elected, these incidents will continue to happen. You're foolish to think otherwise.
