How do I request extension of Approved I-130?

Hi

My husband's I-130 was approved last year in September through DCF in Islamabad, Pakistan and we still not ready to apply for his visa.

I can't find how do I request extension on his approved I-130 petition. Should I contact NVC or the Immigration Visa Unit in US Embassy Islamabad?

I would really appreciate your help. Thanks

If you petitioned via DCF, NVC has nothing to do with the case.

Contact the embassy- have a good reason why you need longer than a year from I-130 approval, and a timeframe for when you will be ready. If not, they may just tell you to re-apply when you are ready.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
