Yes, My mom did recently all vaccination.

Today My mom got a new email from the U.S. embassy of Armenia. This email oulines the necessary documents to bring for the interview.

What make me surprised in this email is that they ask

1-Original I-864 Affidavit of Support form from the co-sponsor.

The co-sponsor has sent the original I-864 to NVC and my Mom doesnt have it. She has a scanned version of what co-sponsor fullfilled in I-864 but there is no co-sponsor's signature on it.

2-W2 forms for 2011 from the co-sponsor

the co-sponsor is self-employed so he doesn't receive any W2 forms.

Does anyone have any idea if this is a common type of document request from all U.S. embassies or it depends on a case?

Thanks

My in-laws went to their interview in Ankara. Everything went well, but they need 2 signed original I-864a for both parents plus administrative processing. I had already sent the I-864a but for some reason they think those are copies that I had already sent. So I mailed 2 signed original I-864a on Wednesday and I'm tracking them and they are in New Jersey right now.

Hey guys, I have a question.

13 days ago NVC sent my file to Ankara. I want my interview to be in Yerevan (I think its quicker) so I emailed Yerevan to transfer my file from Ankara. Armenia embassy has NEVER replied back to me and it has been over a week. Anyone else have a similar experience? I don't even know where my file is anymore. Ankara on the other hand replied back the next day when I email a question.

How do I know if they have requested my file or not and where my file is? BTW, Iranian applicants who have interviews in Yerevan, check out http://armenia.usembassy.gov/non-immigrant_visas.html:

On December 17, 2012, the U.S. Embassy in Armenia will implement new visa application and appointment procedures. The new procedures will make it quicker to apply for a U.S. non-immigrant visa.

Afrasiyab,

Did you send the new I-864 (which is the same as the first one you had already sent to NVC) to NVC or to Ankara embassy?

I suppose that this new-I864 was the EXACT copy of the first one except that you SIGNED it by HAND and maybe put a NEW DATE on it.Am i right?

did you change the content of I-864( new tax return,salary,..)

Moony,

Did you mean that that asked you a new I-864A for each of parents?

thanks

Also , I noticed most of you guys were waiting for interview dates. According to the Yerevan embassy, you have to schedule your own appointment. So which is it? They schedule it or we schedule it?

Kaveh, I don't know at all how K-1 process works. In our cases, it is NVC which determines the appointment date by contacting different U.S. embassies in the vicinity of the applicant's country.

Mitra,

I scanned a signed I-864a and send it to Ankara through the American embassy website. There is a section where you can attach a file. Ankara responded that I must send 2 signed original I-864a for both of my in-laws. So I mailed 2 signed I-864a last Wednesday 12th and they have been in New Jersey since the 14th. I have a feeling that they are probably in the air and should soon be arriving at Ankara. At the same time I am checking the Ankara website to see of the administrative processing has cleared, but not yet. This is a nerve racking process. They are my in-laws (madar va pedar zan) but my wife is 6 months pregnant so I would really like for them to be here for my wife when our baby is born.
