Hello Everyone...

I am looking for some experience from Peru about their embassy and the K1 visa interview. It sasy on the Embassy page that it is recommended the petitioner attend the interview. It is going to be really difficult for me to get off of work this fall (when we, fingers crossed, should be doing this)...is not going a deal breaker in this embassy? How advantageous is it for me to be there?

Thanks

Have you read the consulate reviews for Peru? There is valuable information there. Overall, the consulate in Lima gets very good reviews. There are many there whose fiance was not with them and they were approved.

As long as you guys have everything in order, you should be fine.good.gif

Edit: No it will not be a deal breaker if you are not there.

I think I've answered u before in another post. You don't have to be there for the interview. I wasn't at my fiance's interview. His interview was last week and he was approved without a fuss. Unless you have a really difficult case, then there is no need for you to be there. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the embassy in Lima and the interview. I'll be happy to help

Yes Meric...you did reply on another post...and thank you for the info. I was just putting it up over on this page to gather as many responses/info that I can. You can never have too many experiences to draw from, and if there is only one that had a problem because they weren't there, then I would find a way to get down there.

You should never base your own case on just "one" problem. The majority consensus is that you will be just fine. Concentrate on making sure you get your fiancé everything needed (when the time arises) so that there are no simple mistakes.

Good luck
