LOL yes we are actually near Orlando, I am going have him fill out stuff for Universal and Disney, never know might be something that pops up from there. We were talking the other night , do you think if he sends his resume to businesses that aren't advertising about hiring is a bad idea? And if not how would we go about doing that?

It happens to many people, most can not easily switch over from what they did to a similar role here, all I know from personal experience is that hanging out does not make it better, quite the opposite.

I am going to guess for his skill set Florida is going to be hard anyway and he probably needs to works through contacts, if he has any. In the meantime grit your teeth and do something, whatever is available.

And I know about the Restaurant industry, well I do now.

Yep that's the story of our lives it seems Grit and bare it. I definitely agree that he is having a hard time swallowing the fact that America isn't all its cracked up to be, thank God he loves me, because if he had came here for any other reason he would be in serious trouble. I know i have to get him out, that is the reason I want to get him into classes or something so he can start networking some how, because waiting for it to happen it isn't going to. Yet another reason I am tring to be as supportive as I can, he came here for me, I need to help him through this, I can only imagine how it is if I were in his situation.

No he doesn't have to list all jobs on his resume, only those which would give a true picture of his skills.

Let me ell you aa story, I am presenly trying to hire people for postions that are for a job with a salary range $80,000-$125,000. A resume came across my desk, the person had under her education, working toward a masters in HR. Now, the posiion I am hiring for has nothing to do with HR. My first question was, was she trying to make a carreer change, probably not if she is still studing toward her Masters in HR. I had to pass on her resume, she wasn't even offerred a phone interview.
