We have our Adjustment of Status interview coming up this Tuesday 24th October in Orlando. We’ve gathered together a packet of evidence which should be more than enough for the purposes of the interview. I’m just double and triple checking we have enough and all the required documents.

• Both of our Birth Certificates

• G-325 for USC as requested by USCIS

• Marriage License

• Passports & Driver Licenses

EAD

• Police Clearance here in the US and Back Home - as requested

• Certificates of conviction from back home (juvenile) – as requested

NOA’s from K-1 & AOS/EAD Applications

• Complete Copies of: K-1, AOS & EAD Applications

• Complete Copy of RFE Packet including Cosponsor

• Tons & tons of wedding photos and us in-between photos

• Utility Bills addressed to both myself and the wife

• Bank A/C statements in my name, her name and our name!

• Joint Tax return

• Lease agreement on our wee house in both names

• Animal microchip/vaccination information registered in both names at our home address

• Life insurance policy showing myself as the beneficiary

• Myself and the wife showing on joint medical insurance + bills from rip off dentist

• Misc other documents and mailings sent to myself & the wife!

I’m sure I’ve got everything, everything above is original + there is one exact copy of everything. Just making sure without a doubt I’m not forgetting anything! This is the mad part of the process I'm sure!

Thanks in advance! :D

Thank you all for your responses! It’s much appreciated. :)

Hi,

I just wanted to wish you good luck on your interview!!!

When did you apply for AOS? My lawyer is sending in my paperwork this week and I live in Orlando.

I heard it was a 2 year wait time.

Don't be nervous because it seems like you have a lot of evidence.

Thanks! :)

I’ve been here since November 2005 but we didn’t manage to apply for AOS until April 2006.

A brief summary of my AOS timeline:

21 April 2006 - Mailed AOS & EAD applications

1st May 2006 - NOA 1 received for AOS & EAD: Dated 28th April 2006

31st May 20068:00am Biometrics in Orlando

7th July 2006EAD Approved

7th July 2006RFE Notice for AOS

23rd July 2006RFE Response Mailed

21st Aug 2006EAD Received

24th Aug 2006AOS Interview Noticed Received

24th Oct 2006AOS Interview in Orlando

The above could give you an idea how long you’re case may take, although don’t count on; the time taken could vary for yourself. Apart from an RFE we didn’t hit any major bumps on the road since we applied apart from mail being returned to USCIS by USPS for not having our name on the mail box. :bonk:

Our case could give you an idea of how long processing takes but like I said don’t 100% count on it. It’ll have been about 6 months at interview time since we mailed our AOS packet, with luck all USCIS filings (& fee's) will be over with for 2 years after Tuesday! We also had read that the AOS interview wait list was approx 2 years for Orlando.

I hope this helps, you can check my timeline by clicking the timeline link to the left or by clicking here.

Good Luck! :D

Anyway, I really hope you guys did well today and let us know how it went.

6 months is really speedy even with an RFE. You gave me some hope.
