Hello everyone,

Last year i married a very beautiful kind and sweet person that led my life ever since, btw i miss so much. she toke the role of hiring a friendly family lawyer to go on with our applications and our union. am afraid i had no idea whats going, had a bit of information since i joined this amazing website that shares information from all over the world, so this is my delima .

I found out that i have two application made that i wasnt aware of the other one, the only number i was checking that is our i129-F k1 visa, suddenly we're having both forms, i130 and i129 approved, both application has our names on it, but not my son. My wife said lawyer is handling the paperwork and she have no idea whats going on like me, and she said he's included my son into the application so i wonder if thats the case, little worried that he's not included in application. So please help me with this one.

I dont know about other countries, but my son is listed in my own passport, and i was wondering if the embassy would want me to issue new passport for my son (Her Step-son) for visa or i can simply keep the passport and have his visa printed into mine.

Please help me out and thanks.

Step-child should have stand alone I-130. He can't piggy back off of your I-130.

Why is your profile showing Jordanian flag when you're interviewing in Nigeria (Lagos)????

Copied the Steps from another member, will change that, and thanks for your answer, seems that i got approved while my son didnt have application. will have to make new application for him i guess.

If he filed as a K-3 wouldn't the child come as a K-4? or something like that? Been a long time since I looked. Problem would be since they closing the k-3 and converting to CR-1 then the child would need the I-130?

Yes, in theory the K-4 would take care of the child - lawyer probably still doesn't know about K-3 being pretty much non-existent and thus the need for stand alone I-130. Perhaps if they attached NOA2 approval of spouse, I-130 for child will get expedited?
