Question On Interview Document For K1

Since it's shaping up to look like I may not get to be on the ground with my Fiancee for her interview in Lagos, I prepared a 3 hole binder for her with the complete documents that she'll need except for her police record (I actually have the forn here too), passport and medical. She already has a copy of the petition package when I filed months ago.

Will it be a problem to:

1) Have a binder? If so she can take the documents out anyways and

2) That the documents and forms are hole punched?

Thank you.

That is a good question Gowon.

We were told that we could 2-hole punch the top and fasten with ACCO fasteners. That is the way that USCIS assembles the file. They hang from the top and not the side. We did just that and walked in with the documents inside of a folder. We couldn't find a binder that hung from the top. Fortunately, we had the exact order of documents from the consulate's instructions and we put sticky labels for the beginning of each document and labeled. It also helped my wife with nerves that she could see the order instead of flipping through the documents.

Good luck to you and your fiancee as she goes through her interview in Lagos.

That is the preparation for filing the K1. I think the OP is asking about the documents and papers his fiancee needs to take for her interview.

I had mine in a file folder. I had tabs marked with headings, and anything they asked for I was able to locate and hand over as they asked. I had some photos as well, but was advised not to put them in an album, as I would have to slide them under the glass partition at the consulate, and it was a small opening at best. That's what I did and it worked out fine.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

For Lagos yes you can take 3 ring binders in. Many do. They are use to us being loaded up with binders, folders, albums.

My husband will have 3-(3 inch) binders and folders and 2 albums. No such thing as too much when it comes to Lagos.:D
