USCIS motto seems to be "guilty until proven innocent". Don't let it get you down, like someone else said... if they were going to flat out deny you, they would have done it to your face. Some IOs are just hard@sses who want to be difficult. It'll all work out. And Gesi is right - in the end, it is all about the two of you & your love for each other, and no government agency in the world can change or define that!

Who's still waiting for an interview date in our little group? Today marks 30 days exactly since my biometrics. Every time I try to call up and speak to USCIS they refuse to escalate to Tier 2 as they believe me to be 'a little demanding' and that I should wait until 4 months from my filing date to call in.

My concern is that they've maybe sent something, but not updated their system (I'm not sure what Tier 1 can see, but I believe it's the same system we register and use to keep us updated) and it's gotten lost. Should I be trying harder to get an escalation, or should I just try and be patient?

Really pleased to read everyone having their interviews. Congrats to all :)

I'm waiting to and have held off phoning so far. It is a process of waiting, waiting, waiting after jumping faithfully through hoops. It does look like we are not over schedule by comparing timelines and 'soon' we too will get an interview notice. VJ has been so helpful in all of this and I appreciate all the people who have contributed. You seem to have the closest timeline to mine so it will be interesting if we get our letters at the same time or not.

9/1/2011 Sent K1to begin process

8/16/2012: AOSpacket sent (Day 0 - again)

8/19/2012: Packet signed for at 11:48a (Day 3)

8/21/2012 NOA dated – Form 1-797C –check cashed (Day 5)

8/31/2012: Biometrics letter received (day15)

9/16/2012 Biometrics completed (Day 31)

10/19/2012 (Day64 – still waiting)

Based on what you wrote about your infopass and what others have written, they seem to be just as clueless as the helpline.

Do you want to know what I did (completely unintentional) to get a Tier 2? I mixed up my numbers (I'm dyslexic) and since they could not find it, they put me on hold with a Tier 2. 1 hour on the phone WAITING for the guy to say nothing at all and when I asked him WHY I should wait another 15 days when they initially told me 15 days, he said "what do you mean why???"

No matter where you call/go, they are useless.

On my Infopass they told me that the EAD/AP combo takes 5 months....

I think you guys are just having really bad luck, especially being impatient. someone in the other threads say that they make a note of the times you call, hence why they get pissier and pissier with you the more often you call within the waiting timeframe.

Tier 2 representatives are not as clueless as Tier 1. Your impatience is causing you to get angry with them.

Well Gesi got his SS card in the mail today, so that was good. The stress is getting to him, he is arguing with me on everything. I am now 4 days late for my monthly but will wait a few more days before testing. I have never, ever skipped a monthly before and I am showing absolutely NO signs of starting one and yesterday I had a small bout of nausea and today again, it woke me up thinking I was gonna throw up but it was just nausea again.

But overall the positive news is he can start looking for work now!!
