Interview was a success! Approved on the spot! The IO (white male in early 50s)was over nice....below is my experience.

Got to the USCIS building at 10AM for a 10:45 appointment. There were may be 8 other people in the lobby. I was called in at 11AM. They IO was smiling and asking us how were doing as he walked us to his office. Once in his office, he asked us to remain standing and asked us to raise our right hands and take the oath. His first question was ...how are you guys doing and he went further to say how sorry he was to keep us waiting.....mind you all this time, he's smiling and laughing, just being like a sales man (for real, I am not making this up). He asked us how we met and said in VA while wife was in grad school and I was an undergrad! We get to talking about Big 10 football, hokey, softball, and his kids! I know, crazy! He then asked to see our birth and marriage certificates. We talked more about sports, our colleges, his grand kids working iPad better than him. The guy was way over friendly to the point that I told my wife on our way back home that the guy seemed like he was selling us a house.

He then said, you guys gave us enough stuff and seemed like he had approved our petition before we got there because he had already written down when I will file for removal of condition. Then he was like, I want to see you back here in three years for naturalization.

Finally, he said my card should get to me within 5 days or so.

So that was my experience.....good luck to all with upcoming interviews. Thanks my VJ family for everything!

congrats!

Hey, can you ask your wife what other questions they asked her when you were out? I will be in that same office in 3 seeks! And hubby keeps saying i will be alright but I want to be sure he knows the answers! Sometimes he doesn't care about things I would be obsessing thinking about USCIS.

p.s. keep us posted about your next status changes and GC delivered so I can update the spreadsheet, and we ca expect some timeframes.

--> august filers spreadsheet

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW JESSIE AND ABILA!!

Questions were pretty basic and common

1)Name, DOB, Spouse name DOB

2) Where we met 1st?

3)Where we had our last vacation and what was the occasion?

4)Which all state we visited each other?

5)why we do not have any witness for our marriage?

6)then he asked about my roommate, who is planning to move out 1st?

after that he just explained her about restriction on GC and we can apply for citizenship.

Thanks Kim, have you heard anything?

No,we haven't heard anything at all. With everyone else getting approved on the spot, it's really worrying me...like to the degree of feeling nauseous, headaches. Our lives rest in their hands based on a 30 minute interview where we could show NO interaction towards one another. He feels bad that his integrity is in question. My husband is a God fearing, Christian man. He has never been in trouble a day in his life. His heart is pure and true and it breaks my heart to see him feeling the way he is because he knows it's HIM they question. If they just had a chance to KNOW the Gesi that me and my loved ones know and interact with, they would have NO questions about him at all.

I just pray we get some good news soon. I really do not know how much longer I can pretend to be strong for him.

look guys, you love each other, so if in the worst case you get refused, check how is the appeal process, maybe start checking on VJ, ask those online lawyers advice, and if there is still issues, like gesi said! #### them and move somewhere else and check what are the requirements to get residence when living abroad. maybe you have to be married for 3 or 5 years. time is short if you are happy together.

as long as it doesn't affect you as a couple, you'll be fine!
