A week has now passed since my biometrics appointment. How long, on average, did everyone have to wait before receiving interview notice?

I noticed it was about 1-2 weeks for people that made it on scheduled appointment day, and about 3 weeks for people that walks in earlier. but it varies. MOst people are getting it (according to our chart) between day 35-45.

He pretty much the same as the sponsor. He has to give his tax returns or assets and proof of his U.S citizenship. he has to fill out the I-864A

I wasn't sure if our shared income would work. We were over the required but I was afraid that they would reject it based on being a 9-month contract. Anyway, to be safe we got my FIL as joint-sponsor. He lives alone so he only had to prove household of 2. (him + me).

With your husband's income he had to sponsor a household of 4, but with your FIL I am not sure if In your case he would have to sponsor the 4 of you. It wouldn't make much sense since the twins are not immigrating, no your husband.

Also people that immigrates with several dependents many times uses a different sponsor for each family member.

that's great! much easier. So he just fills I-864 as sponsor, he HAS to count his wife as household and meet required for 3. if he doesn't make enough, his wife can add the I-864A. that one is optional.

Ask for his tax transcripts ASAP, it takes about a week. And just in case, if your close to the required income, order his wives too, in case you have to add them in last minute. better have them

2011 should be enough ad just check the box "I am not adding 2009 & 2010 but I did file it".

And also don't forget his/hers proof of current income

I already filled HIS paperwork as much as I could, hahaha

He makes more than enough money to cover all 3 of us. As for the tax transcripts, IRS can fax them to you too, so no biggie. I'm already putting a letter for my FIL with all the things I need from him. I'll make hubby send it ASAP. He is still kinda fixated with going to the Infopass next Monday but at this point, I believe is a waste of time when having a joint sponsor will solve the issues

Thanks for correction me. Sorry I gave incorrect info

No worries!! I just made the mistake of originally filling out the I-864a, my dad signed it and then we realized it was the wrong form...so we had to wait even longer. The joint sponsor stuff was all very confusing to me so I researched it for days :P

Concurrent filing of I-130/I-485:

06/28/2008 - Met my future husband in South Africa - love at first sight! Lots of visits in between -

04/29/2011 - Married in Mississippi

06/12/2011 - Moved to South Africa to (finally) live with my husband - issued SA conditional residence permit

05/23/2012 - Came home to visit family (on B-2) - was offered a dream job in July (2 weeks before we were to go home) and we couldn't turn it down! It took us ~1 month to get everything we needed here and finish paperwork.

08/20/2012 - Day 0 - I-485/I-130/I-765/I-131 package mailed to Chicago via FedEx

08/28/2012 - Day 7 - E-mail and text message notification received for 4 forms

08/31/2012 - Day 10 - Received hard copies of NOA1 (x4)

09/02/2012 - Day 12 - Received biometrics appointment notice; scheduled for 09/14/2012

09/13/2012 - Day 23 - Received hard copy of RFE (dated 09/07/2012) for unabridged birth certificate

09/14/2012 - Day 24 - Biometrics appointment in New Orleans

10/17/2012 - Day 57 - Interview notice mailed (received hard copy the 19th) for November 19th. We just moved to California that week so interview is being rescheduled.

10/20/2012 - Day 60 - Online status shows EAD card production

12/14/2012 - Day 101- Interview in Fresno, CA; approved

12/28/2012 - Day 115- Green card arrived in the mail!!!

I just got a text that my EAD is in production. I got a job offer and called my congress man if he can help me expedite the process. She asked me to forward her my receipts and offer letter which I did. I also explained to her on phone that my wife doesnt make enough money and that I needed the job so bad. I told her to help me convince USCIS to approve my case on Humanitarian grounds because I may loose the job if I don't resume between October 1- 5.

I hope this little piece of information would help people trying to expedite too. I am so excited.

September 2010 - Came into the US on a F-1 Visa....still in-status.

October 2010 - Met wife - USC.

2011 - We realized we were already bf and gf....no formal toasting...lol.

January 2012 - Proposed to my wife.

June 2012 - Got married.

August 29 2012 - Mailed AOS packet to Chicago Lockbox. (Day 0)

August 31 2012 - AOS packet delivered. (Day 3)

Sept. 3 2012 - Received 4 emails/texts notification for NOA1 @ 7:59am PST (Day 6)

Sept. 8 2012 - Received hard copies of NOA1 in the mail. (Day 11)

Sept. 10 2012 - Biometrics appointment notice received in the mail. Scheduled for September 25. (Day 13)

Sept. 11 2012 - Successful early walk-in for biometrics appointment. (Day 14)[/left]
