Do we need arrival/departure records for AOS interview ??

You probably would think that you dont need it since immigration have access to your arrival/departure record. Ive seen cases where the I-485 took a very long while to get approved due to lost I-94. I would suggest applying for a replacement, it doesnt matter if its approved or not before the interview but at least they"ll see that you tried to replace it.

I think that even if you meet the requirements now, which you will prove with paystubs, you still have to fulfill the 2011 required income, and that is why assets are being asked

Technically the grant GC based on last tax year. not on partial current year.

It's silly but if those are the rules, I would imagine that even if someone is making $100k, and was just hired 6 months ago, if his last year taxes say zero. You need a joint sponsor to meet 125%. 2012 income helps your case, but doesn't count. The only 2012 things that counts for 2011 income proof is assets.

I think this is incorrect. Last year, I lost my job and was out of work 1/2 the year so I know I was under the income limit. However, I started working in November 2011 and my income crossed over the limit earlier this year so I am well above the limit now. I submitted tax returns from 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 plus 6 months of income stubs and a letter from my employer with current income, employment status, etc. I have not yet received an RFE so I assume I am safe... but I guess I could be wrong.....

A week has now passed since my biometrics appointment. How long, on average, did everyone have to wait before receiving interview notice?

He pretty much the same as the sponsor. He has to give his tax returns or assets and proof of his U.S citizenship. he has to fill out the I-864A

I-864A is only filled out if the joint sponsor is in the same household as the primary sponsor or the joint sponsor, so her FIL would need to fill out the I-864 only. *If* her FIL wants to use his wife's income to meet the minimum requirements, his wife (iaia's MIL) would need to fill out the I-864a since she shares the household with the joint sponsor (FIL). OR if they were living with her FIL then he would fill out I-864a. Hopefully that makes sense, it was all confusing to me at first because my dad sponsored my husband When her FIL fills out the I-864 he marks choice d. (I am only the joint sponsor) on part 1 of the form.
