Finally got our first notice in the snail mail. It's by hubbies Biometrics appt. Wer are set for Sep 7th, although we may try a walk in as I had a conference I wanted to attend that day. I'm so excited its moving right along!!

~OUR STORY~

4/2012: Met online and began this cRaZY journey

9/2/2011: He proposed and I said YES!!After multiple trips back and forth.....

7/4/2012: He entered USA at LAX on B2 to visit 6 months

8/8/2012: We got married!!8/8/2012: AOS packet sent (Day 0)

8/10/2012: Packet signed for at 11:48a (Day 2)

8/14/2012: We got our txt/email notifications (all 4) (Day 6)

8/16/2012: Checks cashed.. (Day 8)

8/23/2012: Biometrics letter received via "snail mail" today.. September 7th at 12p in Sacramento CA (Day 15)

8/27/2012: Finally received all 4 NOA1 hard copies via US mail (Day 19)

9/7/2012: Biometrics completed!! (Day 30)

9/19/2012: Received txt message for interview!! October 22nd, 2012.. (Day 42)

9/21/2012: And the interview letter comes in snail mail.. October 22nd, 2pm in Sacramento..Time to get the final stuff together.. (Day 44)

10/16/3012: Received txt msg, EAD is approved and card being mailed. Right before interview and not really needed anyhow!! (Day 69)

10/19/2012: After a bunch of repetitive text messages, my husband received his combo card EAD/AP.. Of course four days before our interview!! (Day 72)

10/22/2012: Interview.. APPROVED!! (Day 75) Next journey ROC!!

10/29/2012: Green Card received in US mail... (Day 82) WOO HOO!!

~ROC BEGINS!!~

08/25/2014: Lifting Conditions Packet Mailed to CA service center (Day 0)

08/27/2014: NOA1 Receipt (Day 2)

09/05/2014: Biometrics letter received via "snail mail" Set for September 15th at 10a in Sacramento CA (Day 11)

09/15/2014: Biometric completed... now we wait!! (Day 21)

11/21/2014: Card/Document Production email received!! (Day 88)

12/01/2014: Card arrives in our mailbox.. this chapter is over... (Day 98) Next is citizenship!!

We are also August filers, adjusting from F-1. Sent everything 08/16 and got our email & text 08/21. Let the wait begin!!!

Met online March 2011

Met in Egypt July 2011

2nd visit to Egypt September 2011

3rd visit to Egypt December 2011

EAD card production on USCIS website 10/19/12

EAD in hand 10/27/12

Interview 11/08/12 - Approved!!

Green Card in hand 11/19/12

Removal of conditions 11/2014

hello guys, my son's K2 AOS is an Aug. 2012 filer too... we sent his AOS packet last Aug. 15, 2012 and my husband got an e-mail from USCIS last night telling his packet was accepted and the case was routed to NBC and within 10 days we will gonna have the noa1 notice... hope the process of our petitions will not take long... good luck to all of us here... :yes:

N-400:
May 9, 2017: N-400 packet was sent
May 15, 2017: NOA1 
June 05, 2017: Biometric Done
June 19, 2017: Case is in Line for an Interview
June 25, 2018: USCIS Scheduled an Interview
Aug. 02, 2018: Interview Date- APPROVED!
Aug. 09, 2018: Oath Ceremony

We got our biometrics appt today in the mail!!! Appointment is set for Sept 10th at 3pm. I am going to try for a walk in next week on Tuesday and see if they allow us in. I wonder if that speeds the process up any? We still haven't received hard copies of the NOA1.. I wonder if they are on their way??? I thought we could have expected those before the biometrics appt letter.

February 5, 2015 - Case transferred to California Service Center due to move to Texas.
March 30, 2015 - Card Production notice received.

Great news. I'm not sure if getting a walk-in appointment earlier makes your case move any quicker, but I know that it definitely can't hurt, can it?

I have a question about USCIS Chicago's working hours? Are they Monday-Friday or do they process cases over the weekend?

Kim & Gesner, we're in the same boat. Appt letter recd, still no hard copies of NOA1s?? We are going to attempt a walk in biometrics as well, but it appears Sacramento doesnt seem friendly to them. No harm trying right?

Biometrics appointment came in today's mail. Still haven't seen paper NOA1, but much happier to get this!! All set for September 13 in Memphis. :dance:

I'm really hoping I hear something in the next few days. I just can't help thinking they might be sending it all back to me for some reason! Once I get a text/email I can relax!

No, definitely doesn't hurt to try.... worst case is you just have to wait until your appointment date. Good luck in trying!!
