RFE came in today (at least the suspense is over). They want a copy of his unabridged birth certificate, which we assumed was what it was about.

At least we were able to get the BC expedited and will be able to mail this thing back off tomorrow.

Husband is disappointed because it says that they won't start processing the I-765 until after they receive the evidence (even though it showed up online as just an RFE for the I-485).

I can post a copy if anyone is interested in seeing what they look like.

05/23/2012 - Came home to visit family (on B-2) - was offered a dream job in July (2 weeks before we were to go home) and we couldn't turn it down! It took us ~1 month to get everything we needed here and finish paperwork.

08/28/2012 - Day 7 - E-mail and text message notification received for 4 forms

08/31/2012 - Day 10 - Received hard copies of NOA1 (x4)

09/02/2012 - Day 12 - Received biometrics appointment notice; scheduled for 09/14/2012

09/13/2012 - Day 23 - Received hard copy of RFE (dated 09/07/2012) for unabridged birth certificate

09/14/2012 - Day 24 - Biometrics appointment in New Orleans

10/17/2012 - Day 57 - Interview notice mailed (received hard copy the 19th) for November 19th. We just moved to California that week so interview is being rescheduled.

10/20/2012 - Day 60 - Online status shows EAD card production

12/14/2012 - Day 101- Interview in Fresno, CA; approved

12/28/2012 - Day 115- Green card arrived in the mail!!!

I would be happy with EAD or interview news! It's hard now with him not working so we will be happy once he is able to work. It will release so much stress he is going through by not working, not being able to offer any support. He said it strips his masculinity from him seeing his wife work so hard and all he can do is sit and wait. It's probably more stress on him than it is me.

I know people seem look down on those of us who AOS because those who separate, file and wait it out are without their loved ones but we that AOS do have problems of our own. It's just as emotionally challenging........not to mention financially. I am just thankful I have a job that allows me to take care of myself, him and his kids back in Haiti.

No, I don't. The thing is the RFE is for the I-485. If it was for that only, has to be something about the affidavit of support, my I-94, or the biographic information...something that is not required for the I-130.

BUT i don't know if they consider all the paperwork as one or file by file...so I don't know

I do know I forgot the pictures for the EAD and AP :bonk: and the back side of my I-94...so I hope is just that and nothing else

Yea that too. I really need to work. I totally understand how he's feeling. He's from the island, back home men usually have that added pressure to rake care of their family. Something will happen for us soon. Tell him just keep his spirits up; its only a few months away now.

The unknown is a killer. I didn't send a copy of my I-94 since I'd lost it and didn't pay for the replacement. On my G-325a I didn't disclose my employment since my lawyer told me it wasn't necessary since it was occasional babysitting and it was for a family member. But I did pay tax on the income that I earned. So I don't know how any of those two things gonna affect me. Oh and before we got married my husband decided that he should apply for housing via one of his stupid friend told him that she applied for housing and she has a 3bdr apt and paying $700 in rent. So he figured he wanted to jump on that boat cause he figure our $1300 apt was too expensive like somebody told him I was gonna move in with him there. Mind you he did it without telling me. I only found out recently cause I saw somehing on the pc. I was so freaking pissed

Everything will work out for you. Just hang in there cuz there's nothing we can do to speed it up. We're operating on theory time now.
