checking my NOAs I saw I have a priority date. Anyone else has it?

Priority Date for me is the same that received date

It appears on I-485 & I-130 with preference classification: "201 B INA SPOUSE OF USC"

none in I-765

Below (in the notice body) it says: "Please note that if a priority date s printed on this notice, the priority does not reflect earlier retained priority dates"

Searching forum, I found responses below (BTW, I added a big Expedite Cover Letter on I-765 - the only one with no priority date-)

a 'priority date' for an I-130 filed by a US Citizen for a foreign spouse,

is usually either

--same date as USCIS Receipt Notice Date or

--several days prior.

I-130s filed by US Citizen for foreign spouse have 'immediate priority date' - no waiting required, for any priority date to 'become current'.

If your expedite falls USCIS "expedite criteria", yes they will. Otherwise, they will simply deny the expedite.

if you included an expedite request in seperate letter, included in the I-130 packet

and IF

you wrote 'expedite' in red letters on the outside of the envelope

then

you'll know something 3 weeks later, by calling the USCIS hotline # .

it takes about 3 weeks for yer casefile to get out of the mailroom and into the proper queue.

IF it made it into the EXPEDITE QUEUE, you'll know, from that phone call.

So, mark yer calendar, with the 'receipt notice' date, go forward 3 weeks in time, mark it again for 'calling USCIS day'.

Same for me, my priority date will be August 23rd. I hope the RFE doesn't affect it

Thanks so much for sharing that!!! It's nice to know what to look for. Mine still show the 485 in acceptance, the rest in initial review.

Mine changed today. Didn't know they work on Saturdays...as of yesterday, was still on Aceptance

See that's why I check mine everyday, twice a day lol. I rememeber getting my texts at almost 1am in the morning. I was like "surely they aren't working THIS late". I do not know their schedule but who knows, it could be a 24/7 hour operation with the exception of holidays. I mean they process thousands a month!!

My visa & EAD expire sept,19

I don't care if GC & interview take more than 3-4 months, not in a hurry. Yes, when they expire i will be in overstay or grace time or AOS time, but it's ok

I added expedite cover letter to explain I could loose my job in between old expires and new one comes. I doubt adding a letter changes anything, but I said that I would probably loose my job if EAD comes after day 60. Loosing my teaching job would affect 60 college students & my household would be divided by half leaving us under poverty line.

I know EAD usually comes before GC, many time around day 45-60. I am hoping for that. I mean, the idea is getting it before so you can work while you get your GC! What is the point of getting it WITH your GC?!

They don't work on night shifts or sundays, I always get my text alerts during the night, but I think it is the automated system working by itself.

I hope you get your EAD and they take your request to expedite seriously. I think it's a perfectly reasonable request you've made and there's no real reason they could refuse you, other than to be difficult and obtuse.

I figured the same thing about the emails/texts. I think they load them into some kind of database that logs them and then sends out the alerts overnight.

I have a question if anyone can shed some insight. I am just curious as on my online info, my I-485 shows a date of Aug 16th that my "fingerprint fee was accepted" and they mailed me a letter explaining how the will process my case, yada, yada, yada. The I-130, EAD and AP show a date of Aug 7th and again the letter being mailed notice. What's with the different dates??

To enter your timeline, on the left under your name, you will see "Timeline", click that and enter the information concering your case, like what you have filed, the dates, notice dates, etc.
