Oh nope. I was just told to cancel the K-1 and start AOS fresh :)

Never even thought about including the other stuff as they said not to bother.

Got my 'Welcome to the USA' letter this morning and my wife got confirmation that the I-130 was approved.

My start date at work has been pushed back a week because the background check company still haven't gotten my international police records back yet. They've done educational and work history. Why leave the important one until last? idiots...

What's everyone else up to?

I got my welcome to USA letter last friday and got my GC today.

Maybe they can call the USCIS number and asked for the FBI background check they did on you?

I'm following up on applications...

I did suggest to them that I would not have been approved for my GC without an extensive background check performed by the FBI and Interpol, however it fell on deaf ears. They have assured me it will all be completed this week. They're just waiting on the UK now.

Hi Xanax, I'm an Aussie from the Twin Cities, but I'm a September AOS filer. I was getting worried that everybody else in my thread had their interviews scheduled for early Dec and I still haven't had an interview date set, even though the EAD and biometrics were done in a timely fashion. Having read your posts, it just seems to be our local office that is taking so much time.

I rang USCIS yesterday and they said that technically, the processing time should be 4 months, so if I don't get an interview date or anything by mid January, they will be happy to expedite the case. I would think this is the same for you - so if you don't have anything by mid December, see if you can call and get an expedite.

I have heard nice things about the St Paul USCIS office, and I had a good experience with biometrics, so hopefully our interviews will be pleasant (and fast, and successful!).

Cheers,

Travelfairy

By the way - don't know if you've heard of ANZAA - Australian New Zealand American Association of Minnesota. If you miss Aussies, we do Aussie/NZ functions throughout the year (ANZAC Day, summer picnic, Melbourne Cup etc). We have a dinner on Australia Day this year (because it's a Saturday) so feel free to look us (www.anzaa.com) or get on our mailing list, or privately message me.
