As Tahoma said above... and consider that Hep A is most often spread among feces. And think about the tradition of using tabo in the PI. Now imagine that cook going to the bathroom, using the tabo, then going back to work in the kitchen, cooking your food. Did he disinfect his hands? I have been there many times and never had any shots. I only drink bottle water and don't go swimming in the water. I have been from Manila to Mindanao. Just be smart with what you do and where you go.

Hard for me to go to the Phils and not swim. I would also suggest bottled water and maybe to brush with the same in the manila area. I always had the Shizt for years traveling abroad and living in the Phils and always thought this was why. After 5 years it finally dried up and I drink the water in the province and I'm all good. It has to be the Emperador and Redhorse diet now, lol.
