This worries me, my fiance lives in Romania and says that they don't have immunization cards or records like we do in the US. If he cant get any records, what happens? Do they give him 1st round of shots at his medical before interview and then let him come and get the rest here?? or do they make him wait there until shots are up to date??

Read the tips about vaccinations in the step-by-step K1 Visa GUIDE and review other relevant threads. I previously mentioned what our course of action will be.

Good luck on your visa journey.

You are not actually required to get any vaccinations for a K-1, but some vaccinations are required for adjusting status once in the US. However, to avoid having to see a civil surgeon in the US for an I-693, you should get the vaccinations at the medical and have them marked off on the DS-3025.

The only ones required for AOS are MMR, Tdap/TD, varicella(unless you had the chickenpox) and flu shot(only during flu season). You only need the first shot in a series to file for AOS.

I'm glad to see there are now four doctors instead of two. is only a matter of time until they all realize that DoS has given them carte blanche to sell vaccinations to everyone, regardless of whether they really need them or not

I am left with the same feeling for Nigeria. There they only have two.

And isn't getting repeated vaccinations dangerous?

No not dangerous, just extremely annoying.

That was my bad lol. I just got done a 14 hour shift and words and letters are starting to blend together. I sure hope that have fixed things instead of giving a monopoly to doctors who truly don't care.

Thank you very much :)

Receiving the vac's over again will not hurt you; so it shouldn't hold up your process, just get the medical done and forward!!

Well, I guess the best thing to do here is hope for the best and plan for the worst. Since there is no way of getting around this and she MUST have this medical exam, I will do what I have to do. If it costs a small fortune, so be it. I miss her. I want her here and I will do whatever must be done to make that happen.

Thank you all for support and information.
