Case complete/Interview?

About 1.5 weeks ago I was told I had a case complete. The next day I received a notice saying that they need our police certificate. New Zealand is a special case where you only sent in a forum so that the consulate is able to obtain your records. I sent this with my paperwork. I called the help line and they said to just ignore this message. Many people on here say that after nothing else is needed the online payment portal fails to work. My payment portal still works. Is this normal and was their advice correct about ignoring the message? How long should it be until we get an interview date assigned?

I am not sure about the payment portal thing as my payment portal still works and my case was completed few days ago. But regarding your police clearance certificate if you talked to the NVC Operator and they said its a false checklist then no issues. As per interview date its completely depends on how busy your embassy is. NVC usually telling people they only schedule interviews second week of every month. In my case I was told to call next week for update on interview date.

ya, this is a 'change' at the payment portal - don't pay attention to the fact that you can still log in.

However, when calling INTO NVC- be certain to speak to a supervisor,

and go over the requirements of obtaining a PCC with the supervisor,

and make certain that the casefile is NOT being held up at NVC .

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

the payment portal still works for my mothers case. her interview was on 06/10/2012 Approved. POE 6/25/2012. received GC, SS within two weeks after POE. I doubt payment portal tells you anything but fee payment status regarding your case status.
