hi!

just want to inquire...my fiance is south african and we plan to get married in the philippines. i just want to confirm ifwe're doing the right thing. he is going to process within this month his certificate/letter of no impediments in their home affairs office in south africa. there are no clear instructions..

but the way we understand it, that cert/letter is needed for him to apply for thelegal capacity? so for the legal capacity, does he need to really process and claim it from his embassy in manila personally?

now the questions, how long will it take for the cert/letter of no impediment and legal capacity to be issued? thanks.

and how much are the fees? and also, what are the requirements for letter/cert of no impediments?

i emailed the SA embassy in makati, but it's been a month and i never got a reply yet.

p.s. ive checked with our local municipal requirements and yes, legal capacity is needed for marriage license.

thanks. hope you can help us. we don't want to cram and get messed up. thanks.

guys, thanks for your replies... :)

i'll try do your suggestions... :0

What suggestions? Maybe if you're in Manila you should go to the South African Embassy or have the Citizen call and found out what you need to know. I'm sure everything you will need to know you can find out there. Sorry if we don't know about that as most are not from that country. But no worries and good luck.
