Greetings

My name is Mahmoud Arabi

I am a current full time studying student at Latrobe university Melbourne Australia.

I applied for a j1 exchange student visa at the Melbourne American consulate on July 19 2012.

I was informed my case would be placed under further administrative processing 221g .

I was given a green form

Which states administrative processing, and Other.

I was not asked for additional documents and u wasn't able to provide my transcript due to me enrolled simulataniuolsly at the

Time to two universities full time.

They request my other transcript for RMIT university and a bank statement.

I didn't give them that.

I was told it takes 4-6 weeks to process, however my internship said that it takes longer.

They kept my passport and my DS2019 certificate of eligibility.

Has this happend to anybody?

I'm desperate for and relevant information ,

I'm really appreciative.

Thanks

Mahmoud

I've edited out the provided email address for personal safety reasons and ask those who are able to respond either to post the information directly in this thread as that will also help others who may be facing the same situation, or to use the internal PM function that is accessible only to Visa Journey members.

I was not asked for additional documents ...

They request my other transcript for RMIT university and a bank statement....

I didn't give them that....

I am confused- did they ask for additional documents or not? If they did, how long after the interview did you provide your "other transcript for RMIT university and a bank statement"?

I am going to assume a MENA Nationality, which one can make a difference.

It takes as long as it takes.

If they requested documentation, why didn't you provide it?

Good luck
