Hello VisaJourney community. My wife arrived in the US on a K-1 Visa as a fiance. We are getting all of the paperwork ready for the Adjustment of Status. I have several questions below (have received confusing feedback from several parties and now I'm lost).

Background Info: Filed I-129F Petition, passed NOA1/2, received Notice of Action Form 797C, Fiance (now wife) had Visa Interview, was approved, came here on I-94 Visa.

Questions:

1) Do I need to fill out an I-130 Petition for Alien Relative along with this I-485 AoS? I don't think I need to but just want to make sure.

2) I am going off the following links when preparing our paperwork. Please let me know if I am missing anything or if the links I am referring to are sufficient.

3) Regarding the I-693 Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status: My wife had a medical exam in London, England. During this exam, she chose to defer the vaccinations and get them done by her own doctor. She then went to the doctor and got them done, and she has a record of this from the doctor. Now the question is.... do we still need to fill out form I-693? If we do have to fill out Parts 1, 2, and 5, then that means she has to again go and see a civil surgeon.

4) What is a civil surgeon? Is that any doctor who does physicals and vaccinations or is this specific? I have Kaiser health insurance and it covers my wife as well - wondering if a doctor from Kaiser would work.

THANK YOU FOR READING THIS AND HELPING ME!!!

No, you don't need an I-130. Following the AOS guide here on VJ should be very helpful so you send in all the forms and documents that are required. Since you got vaccinations after the medical overseas, you will need to see a civil surgeon and have page 1 and the vaccinations page filled out on an I-693. Yes, it must be a designated civil surgeon.

Unfortunately she chose wrongly. If she had gotten her shots by her doctor before her medical exam or told Knightsbridge to hold the results until her doctor faxed evidence of her getting the shots, then you would be done with medical things. Now she must see a civil surgeon to copy all the shots she's had to the I-693 and sign off.

(Can you clarify exactly what shots she got after Knightsbridge that are not recorded on the DS-3025 vaccination they gave her at the appointment?)

They are approved by USCIS for immigration purposes. You must choose from the list...find one in the link you posted.

Here's a simple list of what you will send in for AOS/EAD/AP that might help you get organized.

Visa Journey has "example forms" filled out that are helpful with the details. See the blue menu bar.
