My ex-wife is still waiting for a response to her ROC petition.

She knows that I wrote a letter to USCIS withdrawing my support for her ROC.

As a result, she was advised to file a restraining order against me (don't know under which justification). We have not lived together for months and the last time we saw each other was the day she banged on my door to scream at me because she found out about my letter.

I reported the incident to the police and she was called to declare her side of the story.

What are her chances of success with the restraining order?

What can I do to protect myself from unscrupulous lawyers?

Is there anything I should worry about? Anything I should do?

Please let me know if you have experience in this type of case. She is great liar. I cannot afford any trouble with the law.

You have no standing if you are divorced. She can remove conditions on her own. And the affidavit of support remains in force.

USCIS will approve her ROC no matter what you do. Your letter won't affect anything. Lawyers even brag about never losing such a case. So just make sure you are never close to her or she'll have you arrested no matter that you do nothing to her.

There is nothing else you can do. She might even get approved without interview if you had an interview at AOS.

Good luck, and be careful.
