Well, our 2 year old dughter grabbed a blue pen, and decided to scribble the face/picture of her mother's K-1 VISA! We recently got married, but we have to file AOS. We have to send a copy of my wife's K-1 VISA in the AOS packet. But since her face is scribble, will this be a problem? What can we do? Should we be worrying? :(

I don't actually know for sure if it would be a problem or not and I'm sure you'll get replies, but I doubt it will be a problem. I would guess two things.....one your other forms of ID will clear it up, and two....the reviewer would have to be a real ####### having a very bad day to not see the humor in it. To me it is precious :P

well, this begs the question: why was the passport sitting out where kids could get to it?

Try wiping it down with a wippie or a Clorox wipe... As much as you can, if that doesn't work, have her take another passport photo and make a copy of the biographical page with her info. and attach a little letter explaining the incident that happen. and see how that goes.

For the people asking how a 2 year old child got a hold of that passport, you must not have kids? It was on top of our dresser, IN a small 'travel pack'. Our daughter managed to climb the individual drawers, unzip the travel bag, grab the pen, pull the lid off, and start scribbling on mommies face. Then she went to the kitchen, with the passport in hand, and showed mommy what she did. - Anyways, I can try the wippie option, but what if it gets worse? I dunno, maybe putting a letter next to it, explaining what happened may be enough?

You can try a dry erase marker on top of the permanent marker. I'd experiment on another old photo first though. I know that dry erase on top of permanent marker will come right off a white board!

well I don't have kids, true, but I don't keep my passport on a dresser. I keep mine in a lockbox in the highest most isolated corner of my walk-in closet where you need an actual step ladder to get to it because there is nothing nearby that you can stand on.

anyway about the whiteboard marker thing ... that depends on what material the visa is printed on, doesn't it?

If we are talking about a gloss paper picure this should work. If it's just plain flat paper, then no.

It's plane paper. Like a sticky paper, that sticks the passport.

This is the passport picture corect, picture wasn't printed on picture paper?

Try the dry marker first.

it's the picture on the visa stuck in the passport, which if it's a US visa (which it is) it's printed on a special paper that isn't glossy.

am I just being stupid right now? because I really don't see how using a dry erase marker would get rid of the permanent one on the visa paper.
