I filed the K1 back in December of 2011 and it was just approved, finally! It took 161 days for the USCIS to give it their stamp of approval (NO RFE's)

It took over a month to get it from the USCIS to the NVC. I think they expected it to walk there on its own.

The medical went off without a hitch.

The interview went well except for one minor point. The American Counselor somehow got it in his head that my Fiancee was married. He kept saying stuff like "You are married, right?", "Just tell me the truth, you are married. It's no big deal, just admit it." In truth it is an automatic disqualification. She is not married, has never been married and kept telling him this over and over. Plus, in the Philippines they are required to provide a CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage) and she had a valid, recent, official copy of the document. He refused to accept that so the only way to resolve the issue was to have the NSO (The organization that creates the certificate) send the Embassy a new copy directly. Right after the interview she goes to the office and starts the process. Of course they only send the forms out on Friday and it takes them three days to make the form . . . another pointless delay.

So this Friday, over three weeks later, she finally gets the text message saying that the Visa was approved and is ready to be picked up. Woohoo! 8 months of waiting and it is almost over. The only thing left is the CFO (another Philippines specific requirement)

Now I'm going to do my happy dance. Woohoo!

July 2nd, 2012 - Shipped out

July 9th, 2012 - Received letter from NVC (dated July 3rd, postmarked July 6th.)

July 30th, 2012 - Received letter from the Minila Embassy sent to the U.S. Letter was Dated July 13th, 2012 and Post Marked July 26th, 2012

Medical:

July 6th, 2012 - Day 1

July 9th, 2012 - Day 2 (Approved)

Interview

July 19th, 2012 (Administrative Processing - Requested a new copy of the CENOMAR)

Aug 10th, 2012 Approved. (Embassy was closed for 4 days due to flooding)

CFO

Aug 16th, 2012 - Passed. Got the sticker.

POE

Aug 27th, 2012 - Everything went well.

Wedding

Oct 13th, 2012
