Hey guys,

I had a question with regards to an approved petition from USCIS and then off to NVC...

Once USCIS APPROVES the petition, is it ok to send out more Proof of the on going relationship to NVC?

I understand that our files get sent to NVC with any and all material that was provided at the time of filing, so once case number is assign and case is complete it will get shipped to our embassy, So I was just wondering to be on the safe side can I add more proof to my AOS/IV Bill package once I received it?; Along with all the other supporting documents they will need?

Thanks for your feedback!

Why would you want send more proof to NVC? It is difficult to get incoming documents matched up with a case file. Why do you not want to wait until the interview?

Its NOT that I don't want to wait for the interview cause I have no choice but to wait. BUT I have read that if you felt like you didn't send ENOUGH although you was APPROVED this will be the stage to send in anything else.. And I presume that to me makes it just a little bit of sense if you actually indeed have the option of doing so why not doing it as your file will already be in the hands of one of the CO and they will have more then enough PROOF of the relationship in the event they won't even ask to see any other proof. maybe a few picture and answering the questions, That is just MY opinion... it was just a question that myself and other members that I've chatted with wanted to know!!!

I PERSONALLY don't believe in this. That is my personal opinion. I am sure you know its not a requirement for NVC but it has been done and some people do it with no issues. My opinion is they will still drill or not drill you the same at the time of interview. Again, my personal opinion.

@GOWON Thanks for your input.

@STEPH Thanks for your feed back as well, But my concern is not weather or not I will get drilled or over question as they are doing there job. Now what we wanted was with the whole myth about sending additional documents to NVC if this is something recommend or not. As in MY opinion if they having more then enough proof of supporting documents everyone is at peace as you can't seem to no what would be "Enough evidence" for this CO. That why I figured you supply them with what they need and want, regardless of the fact they will question you all they want, sendiing or not sending it to NVC. Just wanted somewhat of a clarification.... Thanks for the feedback again...

I did not send any evidence in my I130 packet and was very afraid that I would get denied but it did not affect my case. Once you get approved, you get approved. If the person that is viewing your case at uscis feels like you did not provide enough evidence they will send you an rfe but I think you should be fine. It is your personal decision at the end of the day :) just call and make sure it won't delay or complicate things. And if you can't, you know what you got to do girl: get that maleta of evidence ready for your cita ;)

Thanks Kaskada LOL.. You too cute... I myself I'm not to concern, but it would be nice to know if you can send in more proof. I alway say "less is better" I don't tend to gave more then they ask for, or just give what they ask for y ya. But reading all this thread sometimes makes you question yourself and over analyzed things more then you should. But once again Thank for all your feed back!!!

Yup agree with Kaskada. It is your decision at the end of the day. It def won't hurt your case, I just don't know if it will help at all. :thumbs:

When your SO goes for the interview anything that you want the CO to see can be provided at that time along with the documents that they will ask for.

There is zero chance of any additional documents she sends not ending up where she wants them to be when she wants. Since all IV applications are required to be mailed to the NVC, any and all documents she sends will be mailed and received together. If she sends her evidence with her IV packet then there's no need for anything to be matched up later, as her additional evidence and required IV documents will already be together with her case number on them. At the interview I was handed back part of the additional evidence that I sent, so the NVC definitely added it to my file prior to sending it to the embassy.

I read a lot about front loading the petition, but didn't do it myself. I sent just enough to fulfill the requirements of the I-130. Getting your petition approved and getting your visa approved are two different situations. After reading about the problems people were having getting their visas approved in high fraud countries, I decided to send additional evidence during the NVC stage. I sent it with the IV packet and there was no issue with it making it to my file and it didn't take any longer than average for my case to be completed. I ran into no problems or delays. Specific to our case, both my husband and I felt additional evidence was necessary to overcome some of our potential red flags. At the time I sent the petition, I had only made two visits. I wanted to provide proof of the visits I made after I submitted the petition, as I felt that visits were very important in order to prove our relationship. Of all the evidence I sent, they kept only the copies of my passport stamps and the photos from each visit and handed the rest of the evidence back to me. The CO never asked to see any of the evidence we brought with us to the interview. He asked to see my passport and asked about the trips I made and he looked at the photos I submitted with my petition.

I can't say if it helped or not, but I will say it made us feel a lot better going into the interview knowing that we provided that evidence prior to the interview. So if it makes you feel better, then do it. Like Steph said, it can't hurt. But if you feel comfortable with what you've already provided, then don't bother.

I initially though you meant sending in an additional pkt.. You can send whatever you want in the IV pkt, just put what they ask for up front... You can 'frontload ' the IV pkt..

I agree with this. I sent only the information that was requested with the I-130. When I sent in the AOS and the IV packets, I also added additional information such as skype chats, emails and photos. My case was closed within five days. I cannot speak to whether this helped at the interview as my husband has not had his yet, however, I do feel that it doesn't hinder the case closure process. I do believe that you should send information that you are comfortable with.
