New here; I've looked and found related query but nothing right on point to our problem. I've applied for adjustment of status for my wife and her two children. Children's applications were approved and their green cards have arrived. In my wife's case, we received a RFE asking for us to get a criminal/police criminal record clearance letter from the local Russian Consulate. Does anyone know if these reports are general in nature or quite detailed? For example, do they check the computers to see if you've ever been arrested or convicted, or are the searches generally extremely detailed to see if you've ever been questioned in conjunction with an investigation?

There are a lot probably important details that I can fill in if there is someone with relevant information. TIA
