Ok, so My husband is from Brazil, so do I ONLY mail part 1 of the DS230 to the NVC? and then bring part II for the consulate interview?

Also, do i mail the DS 2001-readiness for interview WITH the ds 230 to the NVC or seperately to the consulate, or not at all?

Also, I just want to make sure I've included everything for the NVC:

-DS-230 part I

-photocopy of passport info and bio page w/picture

-2 photos

is this it? just those 3 things?

If you look at the Immigrant Visa page of the US Consulate Brazil, you will note that the majority of what it mentions and all that it lists in the forms/documents required, is for those filing directly with the consulate. You have filed with USCIS and hence as you know, the visa application process is done through NVC. The website does mention this briefly. Do not confuse the two. Once the consulate receives your case which includes DS-230 part 1 and photocopy of the biographics page of your passport they will know by that action that you are ready for an interview as all has been received. You will then receive an interview packet (what was once called packet 4). It will contain your interview date, medical/police certificate info, list of documents still required etc.

Where did it say you have to submit 2 photos with the DS-230 part 1?

All the best to you. You are almost there

I don't think you need to submit 2 photos. Right now, you will need to submit DS 230 part I and the passport biographical information pages' photocopy. During the interview at the Embassy/Consulate, the applicants need to take 2 passport size photos, DS 230 part I and II, marriage certificate, divorce certificate (if applicable), birth certificate, etc.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
