EAD Card and Interview Date Notice

Hi everyone,

I got a EAD card production and AP approval notice on Aug3. (I got an EAD card approval notice twice for some reason on Aug8)

Here's my question. My wife is going to Mexico for a week in the end of this month with her family. Is there any possibility that I will be receiving interview letter from USCIS saying my interview is going to be this month? I still haven't got any notice yet, and I'm very worried that my interview is going to be scheduled on the dates my wife is out of town. Is there anyone who got their interview in two to three weeks since they got a interview notice? I'm not sure but I think I've heard somewhere that USCIS gives us some amount of time until the interview since we get an interview notice.

Oh my another question is I still didn't get my EAD card since I got EAD card production notice. Do we get another EAD card mailed notification before we receive it?

I know it's all different case by case, but I'm wondering the current actual average processing time.

Thank you

Based on most of the timelines I've seen, USCIS gives you about 30 days notice before your interview.

They send the EAD production notice twice a lot of the time. Don't know why. I got my first EAD production notice on July 30th, but didn't get the card until August 7th. It takes a while.

Hope that helps!
