And you're still speaking gibberish. There's no need for me to accuse or deny anything, I have no personal interest in this other than pointing out what I see as blatant racism.

Seems the denial here is all on your side of the issue. You want to say racist things without being labelled a racist.

your sole defense when you are in over your head is to call someone "racist".

Oh howe are the myghtie ouerthrowen.

You were blatantly racist, just as you were yesterday with the comment about blacks.

There's nothing clever to be drawn from your words, racism is simply what it is.

You might be in denial about that and actually think you made some f'naw f'naw intellect argument. I'm sorry to say you haven't.

I don't know what the reasons were but it really makes me chuckle when people here support the notion that the government should be able to dictate on the dress code.

the official reasons given by french govt at the time of the ban included women's civil liberties, national security, cultural division by perception, etc.

the long and short of it was that the gov't was losing control of certain areas of certain cities to fundamentalist sects that are associated with this tradition, and that many native french people were very concerned for their own personal safety, and the future of their country.

the ban created a mechanism by which the french people could be placated of their anger that their homeland was being taken over by "foreigners".

the gov't elected to attack a symbol, rather than the root of the problem.

You were blatantly racist,

typical liberal.

thinks the world works according to his own laws and standards.

calls anybody who doesn't agree with him whatever the latest "nasty" word is to divert attention for the truth.

red herring technique commonly used by the morally/intellectually deficient.

what are you gonna call me next? a pedophile?

What makes it all the more alarming, because in the 1940's the Nazis used the very same rationale - and I use the word loosely here - to exterminate the jews from Europe.

jews didn't burn 300 french police cars on a typical friday night. jews didn't commonly gang rape white girls as young as 10-12 years of age. jews didn't assault and murder local people for coming into "their section" of town, or just for standing on a bus. jews didn't loot and steal from local stores not of their sect to the point where all non-sect stores have abandoned. jews didn't engage in violent aggression against police. jews didn't riot when their government welfare check failed to arrive (they never got any). muslims in france are doing these things every week, and have been doing these things for decades.

As are French Christians.

Civil disobedience and crime are not exclusive of one particular religion, and in fact, not one single religion condones these types of actions. If what you describe were traces linked to Muslims alone, we would certainly be seeing the same occurrences in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, or even the USA.

Xenophobia and fascism, be it in Nazi Germany or modern France, are self serving, as are all the fruits of ignorance and prejudice.

Alas, I am not telling myself. As I recommended, get your hands on French newspapers and do the tally for yourself, as I did.

They are not. If crime were associated with one particular religion, and if it responded to the shortsighted notion it is intrinsic to Islam, crime would be non-existent in the US; or France, the latter a predominantly christian nation.

you want to argue smaller points in the complex picture, so i'll distill it for you...

I don't wish to argue anything. In a public internet forum exchanging ideas is as good as it can get.

You are entitled to your opinion as I am mine.

I wonder if he has ever been to France, or better, lived there. Does he know anything about France at all other than what he reads on the internet?
