hi,im trying to bring my sister and her husband to the states, she is 7 months pregnant,i have noted in her form that she doesnt have a child, now i wanna know after 2 months do i have to inform them that she has a child or not?

i only filled I-130 form and payed the fee,put her birth certificate and mine .what other information is needed.

i also have another question:

i wanna bring my mom and dad too.should seperate forms be filled along with seperate fees or filling for one includes the other?????

i have heard that its better for my parents to apply for my sister under 21 than i,the wait line is less.it that true??

shouldnt they become a us citizen first to apply for my sister under 21 or they can apply with their green card???/

For sister I-130 filed, wait time to immigrant visa - around 11 years (based on current visa bulletin).

For parents - I-130 for each parent - wait time to their immigrant visas - 8-12 months.

Parents can't file for married child as LPRs - they can only file for married child when they're US citizens - so 5 years after they get their green card - that's additional 11 years wait time for Family based 3rd category - married child(ren) of USC.

Don't mean to highjack the threads, but how do you interpret this table for family-based immigration?

For example, my wife will be naturalized soon and wants to bring over her 15 year old son. The country is Costa Rica.

thanks.

She might have had 10 children by the time her visa number becomes current, nothing to do until then.

I'm kind of confused now because it says in the current processing time frame at california service center for LPR filing for unmarried son/daughter over 21 is january 2010. What does it mean? it is different from the wait times? here's the link anyway: http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=40590

The link for the wait for visa numbers has been posted above, how long they take to process the application is a lot less.

Why don't you as the step-father send in the I-130? You married before the child is 18, so you certainly qualify to petition him. Should take 8-10 months to visa in hand. Mother does have all the paperwork from ex-husband/ other parent so the child can leave the country, right?
