I Submitted Joint Sponsor 2011 tax returns and my AOS was denied. Joint Sponsor makes well over the poverty guidelines. Husband didnt have tax returns for 2011, but currently makes well over the poverty guidelines. Waiting on the letter to find out specifically why? Any thoughts on my next step?

Did your sponsor submit a letter explaining why he didn't file taxes last year?

Were you denied or RFE? It's unusual to get straight out denied without a chance to submit different sponsorship papers so if you truly did get denied, it may be something else.

OK so in your timeline, it says you received a RFE on May 23, 2012 for your AOS package.

What was that RFE for and did you respond to it?

"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."

I'm a lil scared right now, seeing that ur AOS was denied for this reason. Im kinda in the same situation.

Mu Husband doesnt have tax returns for 2011, but we have a Sponsor who has all his tax returns and everything.

Im scared now how this is going to turn out, Since i read that he need to have his recent tax returns.

Any ideas what to do now? I would be thankfull for any advice.

Your husband needs his tax returns, unless he was statutorily not required to file (if he made very little money). The husband is the primary sponsor no matter what and he needs to have his taxes to present. He should file his 2011 taxes now.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
