Hello guys,

Just wanna ask if its okey for me to use only the second name that I have, coz thats what I am using right now even in facebook.I didnt put the MARIA anymore coz last year I was hacked.And my fiance just told me to make new facebook by that time,but I was already scared to make a new facebook with that name included the maria so I decided to make one just my second name and now I have lots of chatlogs printed with only using my second name.Do you think it would be a problem? Would the embassy require me a NBI using the second name? Does a codename would be accepted in the embassy too?Pls help me guys so that I can do what is right now that its not that late thanks in advance

You need to include your legal name on all your immigration forms. This would be your complete name that is also listed on your birth certificate and any other legal documents. If you have not had any legal name change, you do not need to include anything other than the name that the Philippine government knows you by. Nicknames do not count. It doesn't matter what you name your Facebook account. USCIS and US Department of State are concerned with your legal name and any changes made to your name.

If your using Facebook as documentation of on going relationship what ever part of your name used, really doesn't matter.This type of document is secondary documentation.

NBI has nothing to do with Facebook.

What is your complete and full name? (I don't expect you to answer, but this is the question) Have you had a legal name change with your country? Then, you would need the evidence to show this. This has nothing to do with Facebook, Skype, Yahoo, Google, or any other networking and social media username. If you are concerned with being able to be identified by your name in your evidence of an ongoing relationship, then, you should use a name that can somehow connect to your real name. For example, if I use Yahoo Messenger, and my username is 'PookyBear', this evidence does nothing for my case as the CO at the interview will say 'Who is PookyBear?' or 'How do I know you are PookyBear?' I am speaking hypothetically of course, but the point is that your name on all the forms you fill out will be your legal name. If this legal name is different from the one you were given at birth, you will provide evidence of the name change. If you want any ongoing communication evidence to be useful, it needs to somehow connect to you.

actually I already make it legal in facebook,I already out MARIA on it but the only problem that I have is about the printed documents from yahoo which is my email it says only like for example VERONICA ROXAS, which is the one that I use.My fiance knows I am using only the second name in yahoo.But there is nothing to do with all the forms that we sent to USCIS coz its my legal name. I am just worried about the emails that I printed coz its only my second name.Do you think it would be okay thank you anyway for your advice!!

You should use your full name as what is shown in your birth certificate or else the embassy will ask you another NBI with the AKA name during your interview. And you must write your fullname in all forms that you fill up for the immigration. US embassy doesn't look on FB. So it doesn't matter if whatever you use in your fb. Nooooo I dont have a change name in my country,All the documents that we sent to USCIS were all under my legal name.I put my Full name in it and theres nothing to worry about that.I am just confused if its accepted at the embassy, coz all the emails that I have printed out was only under my second name which is Veronica and my surname but I never put maria on it. I was just asking if its useful or accepted it with the CO in manila USembassy,or wud they require me another NBI clearance on that name that I used.thanks for the advice guys!!

thanks girl I am just being paranoid thinking about it coz on my email I just used my second name and I had lot of emails that I printed with that email. dont worry about the immigration forms coz I already filled it with my full name.thanks
