hello people so i got married with in 3 week before i got here in the USA but now my visa is about to expire august 13th..what will happen if we fail to pass my AOS after the visa expiry?

The expiration date on the visa is irrelevant as it is a single entry visa.

What is the date on your I94?

nothing...as long you guys follow the simple rules marry within (90 days) you be okay...now wait for the approval of your AOS. what's the reason why you think it will be deny? stop worrying....goodluck

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

visa was invalidated the day you came into USA, as it's a single-entry visa.

pay attention to the dates on the I-94, because you need to get married before the I-94 expires.

Do that? you can file for AOS anytime after, up to 2 years (and with some exception , after )

You'll have other issues when attempting to 'show id' when required, though.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

oh yes AFTER i got here okay so i can still file AOS even if the date on my I94 is august 13 and we will file the AOS after thanks guys!!

Yep. You then are in a "holding status" since you are adjusting. Just don't try to leave the country without advanced parole. :thumbs:

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.
