I got a checklist today stating I sent the birth and marriage certificate from the "wrong issuing authority" but I sent the original official long "inextensa" with seals, etc.

Same ones I sent copies to UCSIS...

What am I missing here?

I got the same check list but it turned out they were right. We had sent the acta. funny thing we sent that one to UsCIG and they sent us an approval so it wasn't until NVC. We, both my husband and I thought it was the right one until we looked really close. And we went through this already for him and still made the mistake. Double check you copy. Otherwise best I can say is call them and tell them that you did send the inextensia and they will double check by submitting an inquiry. Good luck

Moved from K3 process to Caribbean regional thread as the OP's question is regional-specific.

Tu la legalisaste? Ya k en RD certificar y legalizar are two different things?

Eso era... I thought the stamp/signature at the bottom of the documents was what was needed. We had to also take it to "Oficina Central del Estado Civil" pay the 200 DOP for each and have them "legalized", they put some sort of barcodes on them.

We had extra originals so it was quick, my wife FedEx them to me, should have them on the way to NVC tomorrow.

Thanks! Bendiciones!
