No more pounding on the counter for me... AP really took its toll on me from the start...

This seems like it is going to be a tough one after the visa is issued this time... Not sure how long MIL can hang on and then they have things to do with her after she passes before they can leave... I dont want them coming here and then having to fly back for close to two months for the burial etc. better to wait. I expect the interview will be next month some time..

Last week was the second week of the month and still no date... VN consulate really has made things difficult for us from the start... As if the ####### they put my wife through wasn't enough now they are doing it to my Step-son for over a year now.... a copy of the K1 NOA1 wasn't sufficient for them for fTJ even though they had seen it for my wifes visa, so what did we have to do.. file I130 for step son pay more money and wait wait wait...

it varies.. they say 20 business days but usually half that or less. The lag appears to be on the front end with transfer to NVC from USCIS/getting into the system and on the back side waiting for the interview date from the consulate/embassy. If everything is in order in the pkt you send them it should go smooth to the completed case stage...

According to the NVC rep I just spoke with, Our case was completed in July and we didn't get a date that month or this month either so now we have to wait until second week of Sept for a date...

They told me to call back after sept 17 and I should have a date by then.. called today and the woman said 17th? why? the person that told you that is just guessing. I said .. what about the second week scheduling thing.. she said.. doesn't exist but that some of the CSR's tell people that to get the call volume down. she said no need to call that it will happen when it happens and they will send an email... that is no comfort to me...
