I have included my US passport copy for myself(all pages), shouldn't that be enough?

I have a copy of her birth certificate and translation, both notarized. i thought that her birth certificate would be required at a later stage and not now. i read somewhere on the forums that if i send it now, they will still ask for another copy later on.

do i also need to attach a copy of her indian passport?

Need to include the birth certificates for your wife and yourself.

Wrong on both counts; the beneficiary's birth certificate is not included when filing an I-130 and the OP has included more than what is needed to establish US Citizenship

You only need a copy of your Naturalization Certificate or a copy of all your passport pages. You don't need both and I would suggest not including both. The purpose of sending a copy of all your passport pages or a copy of your Naturalization Certificate is to establish your citizenship; only one of those items accomplishes that purpose.

No, you do not need to attach a copy of her Indian passport.

thanks, any ideas about the copy of birth certificate and copy of passport from the beneficiary?

Not needed for submitting an I-130.

thanks a lot ryan for your clarifications.

I was not even aware that i only need to send either passport copy or the naturalization certificate.i thought they were both needed.

the reason i attached a copy of all pages of the passport is also so that they can confirm my trips to india with the immigration stamps in the passport pages.

based on the responses before you, i prepared the package with everything, here is a list for you to see what i have included, this is my final cover letter.

so, should i remove her birth certificate, her passport, and either my passport copy or my naturalization certificate? getting really confused now.

Need to include the birth certificates for your wife and yourself.

Birth certificate for the foreign spouse is submitted at the NVC stage. The petitioner was not born in the USA, so no birth certificate will ever be submitted for petitioner. Either all the pages of passport OR the Naturalization Certificate are used instead, as evidence of US Citizenship.

If there have been many trips to see the foreign spouse, the full passport is probably a better choice but sending both is fine.

Specifically, you nee to send a photocopy of a Certified Copy of the marriage certificate and if not in English, a Certified translation as well.

Remove her birth certificate and her passport. I will suggest you keep the copy of your passport because it serves two purposes which are, A) establishes you are a US Citizen and B) shows all the trips you made to India.

The only reason to include anything from the foreigner's passport at this stage, would be if it would show the couple being together in a third country or the foreign spouse being in the USA to visit.

I would refer to the foreign spouse's full name at the top of the cover letter and the petitioner's full name below their signature. Otherwise, I would avoid using names in the list of items. Just refer to petitioner and beneficiary.
