I-94 and travelling on K-3

Hello everyone,

My wife has a K-3 but has not yet arrived in the US. I know she'll have to fill out the I-94 when she arrives. I heard when she leaves the country she needs to give the I-94 to the airlines. Would that be the flight attendant, or who takes the I-94?

Then, when she returns again to the US, does she complete another I-94? Thanks.

p.s. Don't know if it makes a difference, but her first time in the US will be for only 6-8 hours as she is connecting in Miami to Mexico. She'll come here for good a few weeks after that.

i hv boarded flights out LGA, NY they took the I94 when i collected my boarding pass at the counter

I think it varies. If they don't take it when checking your passport/taking your boarding pass, give it to a flight attendent on the plane. Make sure you hand it over though!!

The i-94 is just that stupid card that says what you brought with you/ why you are visiting etc.... If you give it to a flight attendant, what good will that do? Half the time they don't get off the plane. Maybe im wrong, but when I go to visit, the flight attendants give ME the form... I fill it out and hand it in at POE Ive done it in japan taiwan and manila.. I've never returned anything to them, just received it from them. Maybe there is a place we could double check on travel state gov to be sure? They stapled the form to my passport until i departed.

Point of claraification: the card that says what you brought with you is the Customs Declaration Form, not the I-94.

Yes, your wife should fill out the I-94 and then when she arrives at the POE the immigration will attached the I-94 on her passport not the flight attendant will get her I-94.

When your wife is here now, you need to apply the AOS have interview and if you pass they will took your I-94. And soon you will get your green card

And yes, she does. Everytime you leave the country, you have to hand over the I-94 and will get another one when you come back into the country.
