My fiance went to pick up his visa today after our case spent 48 days in administrative processing. We had our interview on June 21, was told that our case had been approved, but when he went to check the status of the visa, he was told that further clearances were needed. I am just grateful that the whole process was relatively quick (although the waiting was awful!)

He now has to request his "liberacion" from work and request the "permiso de salida' (Cuba-specific procedures) before he can come. But hopefully, there will be no further delays.

Many thanks for all your support!
