I posted in the upper forum to get more insight related to this issue and meanwhile compare opinions.I know CASA consulate is different and one of a kind based on your views. I did not mean to poste in CR1, I did not know how it happened! Did you mean if I am encountered with a Moroccan interviewer, I should bring this up or what, couscous apple pie?

From my understanding at the Casablanca Consulate, there is a Moroccan woman who translates for the interviews and does interviews for the tourist visa etc. but only American consulars interview the immigrants for k1 and cr1 visa. There are also a few other foreigners who translate, but to my understanding, this is as far as they go with helping interview wise.

TBH, I think there is a certain something to have what appears to be a normal relationship from the American side. Meeting at work, working in the same field, having similar socioeconomic backgrounds-- these things can be helpful. My husband and I met in Jordan at work, working together in the same field. Same degrees. Similar socioeconomic backgrounds (well his was possibly higher than mine initially). We met and worked together, I visited one more time, then we got married-- in 6 months. We then filed and made it through with no hitches. Casablanca is a different consulate and Morocco is higher fraud and thus harder to deal with. But if your case looks more normal, that can only be of benefit to you. Good luck.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Thank you, "foreverwaiting", for the piece of information.

I liked your journey, although it was not long...lol I hope we make it through without issues.
