Might be an idea to avoid that Cafe.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Yes agreed more information is required so we can comment and assist you further.

For example, is it a medicial or a military reason?

We just recently got our petition granted to be expedited. Reason being is that my fiancee has brain cancer. All she did was speak to the USCIS over the phone, they asked a few questions and eventually expedited it.

However, all situations are different. I remembering reading one post stating that his fiancee was from Afganistan and his fiance was in danger of being kidnapped for ransom, and another was because he was going to be deployed for his military services.

So my point is (before I waffle on even more) what is your reason? :)

Write them the letter explaining your situation in full detail, but you also need to provide proof of the situation that it effects you personally. The proof depends on the reason for the expedite, of course.

ATTN: Expedite Request

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services - Vermont Service Center

75 Lower Welden Street

St. Albans, VT 05479

Fax No: 802-527-4816

Hereby I am requesting an expedite processing of my I-485 application to Adjust Status due to the following reason:

1) The processing of my application has been unreasonably delayed and at this moment is at least 14 months overdue. My RD is Feb'02 and your Service Center is processing June'03

2) All outside checks have been completed two or more years ago. Attached is the confirmation from the FBI on the status of my record check.

3) Any further delays of my case will cause a FOURTH extension of Employment Authorization and Travel Documents and a THIRD fingerprint appointment

4) The letter received from Service Center on August 03 2004 that stated that I would hear from your center in 60 days was ungrounded and wasn't followed by any action and therefore can be qualified as an obvious error on the part of the Service.

Expedite request evidence? What do you mean?

The sooner you reply to that RFE, the sooner you will be approved.

**** Moving from K1 to AOS from Family Visa forum ****

It's K1.... but I believe she's confused when it comes to "Expedite".

She just posted a sample expedition letter that happens to be for AOS. She has another post going on, saying that they received an RFE for not sending the letters of intent http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/383357-expedite-request-evidence-plus-letter-of-intent/

we got an email from uscis that they need more evidence for our expedite request to be granted but then we forgot to include letter of intent in our package so we are already expecting an RFE.. is it ok to just attach the letter of intent when we mailed the evidences for expedite request?

yes....your chances of getting an RFE for that purpose is very good. I would send your evidence for expidite before you get the RFE. If you wait for the RFE it is basically too late for the expidite. They are already in the process of adjudicating your file.
