Hello fellow VJ'ers,

All paperwork has now been sent to NVC, medical is booked for next week, nothing i can do now but wait for an interview date & pray it will be late September.

I would like to ask others who have attended an interview in London, do i need to take evidence of ongoing relationship? If so how much evidence is sensible?

Is there anything else i should consider?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, i would rather be fully prepared :)

My interview was scheduled on the last day of the month.

I took plenty of evidence but wasn't asked for any of it. That seems to be generally the case for London. Have you read the reviews?

Cathy thanks for the link, you are a life saver, i was looking for exactly that info when i was on my lunch break but couldn't remember where on VJ it was :)

I have read about this only scheduling interviews the 2nd week of the month but not sure that holds true having heard from others as to when they got their interview scheduled. Would be nice to find out if it is fact or myth, i have seen a few posts on this topic recently.

From reading the reviews it seems taking some pictures of us together may be prudent but otherwise it seems i don't need to worry about the ton of letters, skype logs & emails which weigh a ton, that's a relief!

I don't think it's true. They sent me an email on July 30th saying my interview was on August 2nd. However I did put in my covering letter I could take an interview at short notice.

I've noticed the Embassy seem to be giving appts for about a month after receiving the DS2001 form.

When I went for my interview I took a load of extra evidence, none was needed, but my advice would be take it all. Go prepared!

There has been one case on here very recently, stu4lee who at the interview had a request for more evidence, he didn't have much with him and has to send in the extra relationship evidence before he gets approved, thus slowing up his visa.

Have you seen you fiance since filing for the visa? If you have any photos, boarding passes etc from that trip should be fine. They might just want to see proof of an ongoing relationship.

I agree with you that it's probably not true that interviews are only scheduled in the first two weeks of the month, but the OP is doing the spouse visa so her interview will be scheduled by NVC, not the Embassy.

I read Stu4Lee's thread. Wow, that is unusual for London but a warning to all I guess to go prepared with at least some evidence.

What we did was take a 1 inch binder with about five different tabs. This way it was super easy to carry and the female interviewer with the glasses seemed to be impressed that our evidence of relationship was so organized. All she asked for were the pictures though. The first tab was my trips to visit him, second tab was his trips to visit me. In these two tabs, I put all of the one-page flight confirmations and any hotel confirmations that showed the dates and any official-type numbers. The third tab was about five printed pages showing a screen shot of my email inbox and all the messages we've sent and received throughout the months. The fourth tab was about five pages of our respective facebook pages showing people commenting. The fifth tab had a clear plastic bag taped to a white piece of paper that had about 5-10 printed pictures of us from our travels and with people we both knew.

What happened to Stu is definitely alarming, but I think if you have some organized evidence, that'll definitely help :) The woman who interviewed my guy asked him about pictures on the second question so I was REALLY glad we were so organized and prepared. Plus, the one-inch binder was really easy for my guy to carry, he said :)

Good luck!
