People retiring today are part of the first generation of workers who have paid more in Social Security taxes during their careers than they will receive in benefits after they retire. It’s a historic shift that will only get worse for future retirees, according to an analysis by The Associated Press.
Social Security benefits are progressive, so most low-income workers retiring today still will get slightly more in benefits than they paid in taxes. Most high-income workers started getting less in benefits than they paid in taxes in the 1990s, according to data from the Social Security Administration.

This is nothing new! The people who pay the most taxes always get the least in terms of "benefits". They get the short end of the stick. They are paying the way for everyone else and they don't even get a nod of appreciation.

The article also says the plan won't have enough money by 2033- what that means is that the majority of folks never paid into the system what they plan to get out. If they did, it wouldn't be running out of $$$.

This seems to be the biggest legal ponzi scheme on record. I am not planning to see a penny from social security when I retire
