I flew back to the philippines to be with my wife Lyn right after my summer courses and in hopes to be there for her final interview 07/08/12 . The morning of the interview we dashed through flooded alleys, while trying to stay somewhat dry and keep our paperwork dry, paid over priced taxi fares to the u.s. embassy. we waited in the line while it poured only to be told 45mins passed our appointment time that the embassy was closed for the day and to reschedule our appointments. pay an even more over priced taxi back to pateros. We called to reschedule and we were told that we have to go to the back of the line and file for the next open interview spot. Sadly due to our rescheduled date I won't be able to be here for our interview since I have to leave as soon as the flooding stops to go back home before school starts back up.

Anyone else struggling with the Philippines floods? hope you're all safe and fairing well.

So sad that this happen but its better to have safety first. I have seen in news that few cities in Manila still in critical due to flood and continued rains. I hope and wish that as soon as the floods stops and the embassy opens you will get an earlier slot for interview. Good luck and wish you safe!!
