birth certificate from some months back?

7. A copy of the intending immigrant's birth certificate along with English translation. (If in any language other than English)

This is what AOS guide section says.

I had my K-1 interview back in April and I'm flying in next week. Once we have our wedding, I'll send my AOS packet either 1st or 2nd wk of September.

Now the thing is that I already have my birth certificate from my K-1 interview. It's original, translated, and notarized.

Can I use this one to send in AOS packet or should I get another one that's very new?

What if someone has a birth certificate issued 3 months ago, before he/she entered U.S with K-1?

Well, mine would be a few months older than 3months by September but it's with translate and notary. Very official.

Wonder if this one is sufficiant for the packet.

Thank you.

And do not send in the original. Send in a copy and be prepared to show original if requested in an interview (if interview is needed). Make sure to send in the non-translated as well as the certified translated copy.
