hello! everyone, my husband had an interview yesterday in Delhi, India. I's sent him all the required documents when he got his interview letter last month. But yesterday, an officer needs some more additional documents such as proof of relationship. We had our marriage as civil ceremony - court marriage and had no reception party. But the letter he got yesterday was asking us to submit wedding-card and guest-list. So, what should I do with that. pls. help.

What evidence of bonafide relationship did you send before?

Other than the wedding invite and guest list, what else did they ask?

Send a letter explaining what sort of wedding you had, and why. For example that you are of different religions and so didn't want a religious ceremony, or are planning one later, or whatever. Did you email some people to invite them along to the legal wedding? Send that. Did anyone other than you and your spouse attend the wedding (witnesses, family)? List them. If your and your spouses family did not attend the wedding, explain why.

The few people that attended, have them write letter with their phone numbers

Write a statement on why you did your wedding the way you did it especially if you have religious belief. Also have a pastor or priest attest to your letter that it is in line with your belief

Above all, pray very well

hi! thank-you for your replies. The letter my husband got from an officer says that we are unable to issue visa at this time section 221 (g) prohibits the issuance of visa. So, they asked for more evidences. I'm almost complete the additional documents they had required, If we'll send it by next week, how long it will take. They ask my husband to send the documents through courier-VFS office instead of another interview. I'll really appreciate your help.

It depends on how long the review will take- they may also do things other than look at your papers, such as a field investigation (going to interview your co-workers, friends, neighbours etc). Hopefully it'll be done in 4-6 weeks but may take longer.

So, should we have to submit a small photo-album or just pictures. And other things they asked for is greeting-cards, phone-bills, emails, etc. i do hav a anniv. book, reciepts that the stuff i bought for him (had mentioned in emails, chatting)so should i send those too. I'm not sure that they'll give the stuff back or not (its okay if they'll keep it but i'm not sure to send the album, anniv book, recipts) and asking for copies or original? pls. help
