A Question for all you Georgia Residents!

I know there are several of you GA residents floating around! Please help!

Last night my mother and I met with a possible caterer and site for our wedding! *lots of fun :)*

Any way, it just so happens to be in GA (I am a NC resident). So this morning I was looking at license requirements. It is pretty straight forward 2 forms of i.d, cost, etc etc. However, my question for those who may know is this, what two forms of ID did you use for your husband or wife to be!? Most obvious is Passport. But what did you use? Any other advice! :star:

Just curious! Thanks in advance if someone can help!!

Did your DL in the Phils have a picture of you on it?

I used my passport and my Ontario Driver's license. It did have a photo on it. My husband used his passport and Georgia Driver's license and brought along his divorce decrees. I had my birth certificate and other identification with me but that is all they needed.

I knew you'd know the answer!

Thanks!

Basically I am just worried for him needing two picture ID's.

In England their DL don't have pictures on them.

But we can do his Passport and Birth Certificate I suppose..maybe i am just worried.

Joel used his NS license, birth certificate and his passport. I used my license and birth certificate (along with divorce documents). I did bring my passport just in case, yanno? But, that's all we had with us.

Good luck with the wedding plans! :)

I know my fiancee's Alberta driver's license has a picture on it, so I can't imagine why other Canadian driver's licenses wouldn't also have pictures as well.

Are social security numbers not required in Georgia? I've been reading up on getting married in the U.S., and it seems many states want both partners to give their SSN's and/or their SS cards. For instance, I live in Texas, and this state requires that you have your SSN handy. That would make it difficult, if not impossible, for individuals without an SSN to get married. Maybe that's just for USC's though, I don't know.

Maybe someone could shed a little light on this subject? I'd hate for those asking questions in this thread (and in the future, my fiancee and myself) to get everything ready and then be surprised by the fact an SSN was needed.

Yes I am sure you are correct that all other Canadian DL have pictures on it...kinda looking for someone that has used one form of ID with out a picture present other then a SS card as there second form of ID (second to the passport of course) as Chris' DL is from England!?

Hope you get an answer to your question as well! Not really sure about Texas. I guess in both of our cases it wouldn't hurt to call the license office to get an answer! Good luck.

Thanks again guys!
