Just FYI to anyone considering this, we finally switched from Ooma to Vonage and this deal and it's been fantastic! Call quality has been perfectly fine, and being able to call unlimited to Globe and ™ is just great. So far, all the calls have gone through, and haven't had one dropped yet either.

I think well worth the $30

I totally agree on the quality to Globe numbers for free. The plan is awesome and my wife has logged 1200 minutes to date this month.........whew.........anyway, it's well worth it and feel free to list me as a referral since the both parties can get free service for a month or two......every little bit helps!! Just hit me up on pm and I'll give my number to you if your interested. May take an email from me to you so leave your email and I'll refer you. Either way it's a great service.

It's actually neither, it's a new third plan they have. You can find it pretty easy on the Vonage home page. But it basically includes the same rates and free countries as Vonage World, but costs $5.00 more a month ($29.95 versus $24.95). So it's like Vonage World + $5 to add unlimited to Globe.

Since TM is owned by Globe, they are included, and since so many Filipinos have at least dual sims, and usually they have at least one Globe or ™ number, along with a Sun or Smart, my fiancé is able to call nearly anyone!

Did you get the previous cell numbers that you tried and didn't work, to finally work with Vonage?

YES! It was a problem only with their verification thing on their site. They have since fixed it, and all those number come up as 'valid' Globe and TM. We have been making calls now for about 4 days, and every one is free (logged in and checked my Vonage billing). We called one number that wasn't, and that is billed at .09 a minute, which is still a fantastic rate.

But yes, all the numbers are working great!

So nice to now have to worry about it. Wish they would have had it for the 2 years I talked to my fiancé when she was living there!

Thanks buddy. Can you use your cell phone for vonage. That is can you call the Philippines using your cell phone with Vonage? Or just your land line

Yes , you can get one "extension" where you can call using your cell phone. You can get additional extensions for other cell phones for $4.99/month. Wife uses this and we have the home line also. She just got all her friends to get a globe sim card and now they can chat whenever.

Anyone have a link to the Vonage Plan that's being discussed?

What is the plan name?

I can only find the Vonage 3000 plan to globe phones only which I don't think is the plan you are talking about here.
