Interview is really easy according to Ana.

They just want fiance to know a little about the petitioner.

When you met, job they have, where you'll live. Really basic stuff.

One of my tax returns showed a loss through one of my businesses and they asked my fiance if she knew I had a loss this year. She looked them in the eyes and said of course I know, we talk about everything.

After that the interviewer said ok, and she had her visa. Piece of cake.

Ana was also given a job at the embassy helping translate for a woman who only spoke Russian. It was a fun adventure for her.

Don't worry if you have the basic documents they asked for in the packet your fiance has you are all ready to go. Just make sure you get there one day early at least to have the simple medical exam. It takes a day but it is really easy and painless.

Tax records...is a tax transcript ok and can it be a copy..or do I need to send the original ??

I asked the Bucharest Consulate what tax forms need to accompany I-134 at the interview and their official written answer contained the following phrase: "notarized tax returns for the most recent tax year". You could also email them to ask them specific questions (address: visasbucharest@state.gov). They are quite polite and helpful. Good luck!

OK I've been in touch with the Romanian Embassy..

I'm told that I just need to prove I can support. her and this years pay stubs/year to date last couple and employment letter will be enough.. Since I was unemployed last year due to school....

What I'm tryin to do now..is get the name of the person emailing me back.... I ask for that right before the end of the day on Friday... let see if I get it monday... If I do.. I will print out the emails ..his/hers name and send it with the orginal I-129F to my Fiancee when she gets her interview date...

Quotes:

Please send your fiancée all the documents related to your employment history for this year. The tax returns for 2005 if they show your former wife’s income are not relevant. Again you just have to prove you can support your fiancée in the U.S.

At the time of her visa interview, your fiancée will have to present from you financial documents showing that you are able to support her in the U.S. You may send proof of your current employment, a recent bank statement, an affidavit of support, Form I-134. In adjudicating fiancée visa cases, we use the 100% of the Poverty Guidelines that is for a family of two individuals the annual income for 2005 should be $ 13,200.

Packet 3 from the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest contains the following items:

- standard checklist, personalized by the consular officers according to which extra documents they want your fiancees to show them at the interview, generally documents which are not attached to the approved petition sent to Bucharest by NVC;

- requirements for the passport-sized photographs;

- list of U.S. Embassy-accredited medical centers in Bucharest;

- one copy of the DS-230 Part I form (in English);

- two copies of DS-156 (in Romanian);

- one copy of DS-156k (in English);

DS-230 Part I must be completed, signed, dated and returned to the Immigrant Visa Unit together with the signed and dated checklist, one passport photograph and a copy of the fiancee's passport (only the personal data page) so he/she can be scheduled for the interview. Forms DS-230 Part II (completed only up to item 35), DS-156 (in duplicate) and DS-156k will be signed and dated during the interview and in the presence of the consular officer.

- form DS-157 (for male applicants only);

- medical forms (the fiance(e) must take them to the medical exam so they can be filled in by the accredited doctor; I advise the Bucharest applicants to have 4 passport-sized photographs with them when they go to the medical).
