in addition, do i need to have a Form I-693 since my medical exam was taken on october 2011?

I offer the following opinion, based on my filing and approval of the AOS, "Adjustment of Status," for my gal in 2010. Just read, reread, and reread the required list of required documentation/evidence required by the USCIS. My gal and I did it successfully the first time. Your medical exam from the country you immigrated to the USA is/was only valid for one (1) year. If that year time period has expired you will need to have a "complete" medical exam performed by a "qualified" USCIS medical professional. I will also that it will be in your benefit to visit your local county health department. It has been my experience, based on my gals AOS experience, that vaccinations/immunizations are based on the age of the immigrant. My gal, now wife, went to the local health department and got the needed vaccinations/immunizations for about $150 (USD).

Then, she and I took all of her paperwork to a certified USCIS physician here in the US for completion of her I-693. He completed my gals paperworkd for free! Imagine that!

Just try and do your homework and be prepared..., everything will work out! There isn't anything money won't take care of...

Regards,

Sid
